Stickers with Back Printing Drive Social Media Engagement
Technology inspired skateboard brand uses stickers with back printing to drive social media engagement and increase brand awareness.
Krak Studios is a skateboarding studio run by skateboarders with passion. KrakBox is one such product: a monthly dose of the wild world of skateboarding, delivered right to your doorstep. Every month, the best of skateboarding gear, apparel & culture, right to you.
Every month, each customer receives several high quality screen printed stickers along with other products. Which is AWESOME cuz everyone loves stickers!
And I’ll let you in on a little secret, kids don’t use the stickers right away. They hold them, cherish them, and wait for the best place to stick their skateboard art.
I know because I was a kid once and that’s what I did. I kept my sticker collection in a drawer filled with my other prized possessions — brought them out to admire them, show them off to friends. Constantly calculating, searching for just the right application. The perfect sticker placement. There is something tactile about peeling and applying a sticker…satisfying even.
So Krak did something smart because it’s clear they understand their market. They added a 1-color back print to the back side of their stickers aka the sticker “liner”. They included their URL and social media tags knowing that many of their fans will have that sticker for a while before they apply it.
This utilizes more of the print surface on a sticker and gives a way to learn more about the Krak Studios brand and a way to follow their development.
